Rocky Mountains ski resort. Panorama is located in the south-eastern Kootenay region of British Columbia, Canada. It is 3 hours south-west of Calgary, Alberta through both the Banff and Kootenay National Parks. This is one of the most scenic and enjoyable drives in the Rocky Mountains.

Calgary International Airport to Panorama

Drive one of the world's great mountain highways through Banff and Kootenay National Parks. Roads are well maintained, year-round. The Calgary-Panorama drive takes about 3 1/2 hours, depending on road and traffic conditions. Travel time is approximately 3 1/2 hours. The distance is approximately 309 kilometres or 192 miles:

1. From Calgary, travel west on Highway 1 (the Trans-Canada Highway) through Canmore and Banff.
2. About 30km west of Banff exit the Trans-Canada at Castle Junction (at the end of the divided highway). Then take Highway 93 through Kootenay National Park towards Radium Hot Springs.
3. After about an hour and a quarter you'll arrive in Radium - turn south here and travel a few kilometres on Highway 93/95 to Invermere.
4. At Invermere, you'll arrive at a set of traffic lights, with a Tim Hortons on your left. Turn right and drive through the outskirts of town past Lake Windermere.
5. Just after the lake, you'll cross a rail bridge. Take the next right onto Panorama Drive.
6. Now it's just 18km to Panorama. You'll drive through an industrial area and wind through remote feeling pastureland and forest, but don't worry, you're on the right track and we are waiting for you!
